Strategic Pillar: Subject Matter Expertise (SME) & Organic Reach
The Narrative: Demonstrating Deep-Dive Sector Authority.
- The Challenge: In the African fintech space — and more specifically the crypto/web3 space — there is a surplus of “funding news” (who raised what) but a deficit of “utility content” (how these tools actually work for users). Marketing agencies often struggle because they don’t fundamentally understand the product mechanisms they are trying to sell.
- The Strategic Action: I built Digipesa as a living proof-of-concept for high-level content strategy.
- The Utility-First Approach: Instead of chasing breaking news, Digipesa focuses on evergreen, educational content that demystifies digital finance for the everyday Kenyan user. Questions I have been asked about crypto over the years, opportunities to learn more about the space and generally what look out for, whether you are a newbie or an expert keeping up with the latest.
- SEO as a Proxy for Market Demand: I used the platform to test organic search behaviours, identifying exactly what questions users were asking Google about crypto and digital money — data that directly informed my strategy for paying clients.
- The Outcome: Established a verified voice in the ecosystem. Digipesa serves as my “public notebook,” proving to clients that I possess the technical literacy to distill complex fintech products into clear, ranking content without needing a translator.
