• The Challenge: YieldGuru was attempting to unlock retail capital for the transition of African public transport from ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) to EV (Electric Vehicle) using complex DeFi protocols. The gap between the technical reality of tokenized real-world assets and the financial literacy of the target mass-market investor was a massive barrier to entry, creating a high perception of risk.
• The Strategic Action: We shifted the entire go-to-market strategy from explaining the tech to translating the opportunity.
  • Brand as a Trust Anchor: We executed a complete new brand, moving away from crypto-native aesthetics to an institutional-grade identity. I worked with the founder to pivot his executive visibility to industry thought leader, securing the credibility needed to attract serious VC attention and partnerships with established EV players.
  • The Financial Logic Translation: We re-engineered the content strategy to act as a translation layer. We stripped away intimidating DeFi jargon (like “tokenization” and “liquidity pools”) and replaced it with accessible, tangible financial logic tailored for non-technical African and global investors, framing the opportunity as “investing in the inevitable modernisation of the bus you take every day.”
